# Mi Estela > Mi Estela is a Spanish presence and family location app for iPhone and Android. People in a circle (family or friends) share their location by their own choice, get alerts when someone gets home or to school, can ask for help with an SOS, and talk by chat, calls and video calls right inside the app. It has no ads and does not sell or license its users' data. The download is free; the essentials are free forever, and there is an optional Premium plan per circle. ## The essentials in one sentence - What it is: a Spanish family locator based on consent ("presence, not surveillance"). It works both ways: what you see of the other person, they see of you; there is no supervisor. - Who it's for: parents of teenagers (from age 14 in Spain), adult children of aging parents, older adults (Senior Mode), young people, couples, friends, families with iPhone and Android, travelers and pilgrims. - Platforms: iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). A family can mix both. - Price: free download. Free forever: sharing the map with your people, SOS, "I've arrived" and "I'm okay", arrival alerts for 3 spots, shared battery, chat, calls, video calls, 2D and 3D map. Free with monthly use: Estela AI (15), midpoint (3), routes and plans. Free with monthly use: Estela AI (15), midpoint (3), routes and plans. Optional Premium for the whole circle (one person pays, the whole family benefits): €9.99 a month or €99.99 a year in Spain, taxes included, with a 14-day trial. It gives 30-day history instead of 3, more spots with alerts, and more AI features. If you stop paying, your memories are not deleted or locked. - Privacy: no ads, and location data is never sold or licensed, ever. Servers in the European Union. Each person agrees to join the circle and chooses how they appear: precise location, zone only (approximate), or invisible (Ghost mode, adults only; minors' accounts share at least their zone). Route history is turned on by each person for whoever they choose and is deleted after 30 days. No driving reports, no background microphone, no parental control. - Minimum age: the digital consent age in each country (14 in Spain, 13 in Portugal, 16 in Germany). Between that age and 18, an adult in the circle authorizes the social features. - Safety: the SOS alerts the circle with your location (it works without signal: it is sent when the signal returns), has a cancelable countdown, and puts 112 and AlertCops one tap away. It does not replace 112. - Made in Madrid (Spain).
