Mi Estela on Motorola, vivo & iQOO

Motorola is one of the friendliest when it comes to keeping apps alive—just set battery to "Unrestricted." vivo and iQOO have their own background power consumption screen.

What happens if you don't touch a thing

With battery set to "Optimized," Android may delay Mi Estela. On vivo, "background power consumption management" closes any app you haven't explicitly allowed.

Step by step

Taps, in order

  1. Motorola: battery set to "Unrestricted"Settings › Apps › Mi Estela › App battery usageChoose "Unrestricted." If you still notice delays, turn off "Adaptive Battery" under Settings › Battery.
  2. vivo & iQOO: background power consumptionSettings › Battery › Background power consumption management › Mi EstelaAllow high background power consumption (exact wording may vary).
  3. vivo & iQOO: autostartSettings › More settings › Apps › AutostartTurn on Mi Estela.
  4. Location: "Allow all the time"Settings › Apps › Mi Estela › Permissions › LocationSelect "Allow all the time" and turn on precise location.

Check that it works

Close Mi Estela completely, leave your phone with the screen off for ten minutes, and ask someone in your circle to check your card on the map: it should say "just now," not "10 minutes ago." If it doesn't, go back to the battery step—that's the one that fails most often.
