iSharing review: features, inactivity alert and price in Spain
An app with features loved by anyone caring for an older person (the alert if they don't move) and a history that keeps up to a year of trips. The good, the costly, and what gives you pause.

iSharing (from iSharingSoft, Irvine, California) is a classic family locator: circles, map, history, alerts. Two things set it apart: an inactivity alert designed for older people, and a location history of up to 365 days. And a third thing worth knowing: the free plan shows ads.
What it does
- Real-time map with family, on iPhone and Android.
- Location history of up to a year.
- Walkie-talkie and SOS with audio recording.
- Inactivity alert: if an older person doesn't move for a while, it sends a warning.
How much it costs
Free with ads. As of October 14, 2026, on the App Store in Spain: Silver €4.99/month; Gold €6.99/month or €59.99/year.
Who it's for, and one question
If you look after a parent who lives alone and want your phone to alert you if they don't move, that feature has real value. The question is about the history: why would a family need a year of trips for each person? We believe it's for nothing good, which is why in Mi Estela each person switches on their own history, decides who can see it, and it's deleted after 30 days at most. For older people, Mi Estela has Senior Mode (large text and buttons, speaking instead of typing), an optional gentle check-in, and Shifts for siblings looking after a parent together: we cover it in older parents: knowing they're okay. The full comparison, with sources, is in Mi Estela vs. iSharing.
